Pafford Health Services are seeking to hire an LPN
to work in our Pafford Medical Clinic-Hope AR
Job Description:
Plans and manages patient care according to each patient's needs. Interacts with patients and
records their medical history and physical condition. Obtains patient vital signs, including
pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and respirations. Responsible for providing routine care for patients,
and communicates changes in patient behavior or health status to nurses, physicians and family members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Collect, track, and maintain patient history; record any new data within EMR
Take vitals, administer hearing and vision screens
Administer medication, including childhood vaccinations, allergy injections
Supervise nurse assistants and/or students and provide them with appropriate tasks
Manage and assist front desk personnel duties
Take instruction from and report updates to APRN/overseeing physician
Ensure rooms are kept clean and sterile
Follow state and federal mandated standards and procedures
Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
Knowledge of procedure and diagnostic codes (HCPCS and ICD-10 codes)
Knowledge of medical terminology
Ability to work independently and with a group
Ability to maintain effective working relationships.
Thorough knowledge of clinic practices
Education and Experience Requirements:
Completed state-approved LPN education program; current LPN license to practice
Valid CPR certification
Previous clinical and/or healthcare experience
Understanding of healthcare state standards and procedures
High level of patience, empathy and compassion
Excellent observation skills with high attention to detail
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Physical Requirements:
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and
other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity
standards.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and
local standards.
The employee may occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral
vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work may require sitting, lifting, stooping, bending, stretching, walking, standing, pushing, pulling, reaching,
and other physical exertion.
Must be able to talk, listen and communicate clearly.
Must possess visual acuity to prepare and analyze data and figures, operate a computer terminal, and
operate a motor vehicle.
