IT Field Technician
Pafford Medical Services - Oklahoma City, OK
Pafford Medical Services, a family-owned and operated leader in emergency medical services, is seeking a skilled and proactive IT Field Technician to join our team in Oklahoma. This position is based in the Oklahoma City area but will require frequent travel throughout the state to support our critical operations.
You will be an essential part of our mission, ensuring the technology that powers our emergency dispatch centers and ambulance fleet is always ready to go. A company vehicle will be provided to facilitate travel to our various stations and offices.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on technical support for a wide range of IT systems, including workstations, servers, and networking equipment in dispatch centers and ambulances.
- Travel to various Pafford EMS locations across Oklahoma in a company-provided vehicle to perform on-site troubleshooting, maintenance, and installations.
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software, including specialized medical and dispatching applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues for staff, providing both in-person and remote assistance.
- Manage and maintain IT inventory, including hardware and software assets.
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain security camera systems and networking equipment.
- Collaborate with the IT team and other departments to implement new technologies and systems.
- Document procedures,
- solutions, and asset information accurately.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend support as needed.
Qualifications

Proven experience as an IT Field Technician or similar role.

Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking fundamentals.

Proficiency in Windows-based environments.

Experience installing and troubleshooting security cameras and networking equipment is a plus.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.

Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and travel frequently.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Education Requirements

Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and hands-on IT experience.

Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications are preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (e.g., computer equipment, servers, networking gear).

Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching while installing or troubleshooting equipment.

Ability to sit for extended periods while driving between locations.

Manual dexterity for operating tools, handling small parts, and using a keyboard/mouse.

Ability to work in various environments, including offices, dispatch centers, and occasionally inside ambulances.
