Description

Pafford Medical Services is seeking an Associate In-House Counsel to join our legal department. Under the supervision of the In-House Counsel, the Associate In-House Counsel will be responsible for the following:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drafting and reviewing contracts, leases, company policies, and correspondence.
  • Conduct legal research
  • Advising company executives and managers on legal issues
  • Reviewing subpoenas and other information requests
  • Maintaining company legal files and coordinating with outside counsel
  • Analyze laws, regulations, court rules and policies and propose improvements or identify and build upon model approaches.

EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Juris Doctor degree
  • Experience in business, employment, contract, and/or healthcare law

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS or CERTIFICATIONS

  • Licensed to practice law in Arkansas, Oklahoma, or Mississippi
  • Other states may be required based on business needs

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Prolonged sitting, standing, walking, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, squatting and stooping in the performance of daily activities.
  • Other requirements consist of repetitive hand motion and fine coordination in preparing reports using a computer keyboard.
  • Near and far vision in proofreading correspondence and work related documents.
  • Acute hearing is required when providing phone service.

Travel Time: Occasional to Frequent
